Community-Based Rehabilitation (CBR)

Empowering People with Disabilities Through Community-Based Rehabilitation

Who Are CBRs?

About

CBRs (Community Based Rehabilitation workers) are trained community workers who provide rehabilitation, support, and advocacy services to persons with disabilities directly within their villages, schools, families, and local communities.

What CBR Workers Do

Identify and support

CBRs go into communities to identify children with disabilities, give them hope, and encourage their parents.

Train and Empower

They train families, teachers, and community leaders on how to support children and adults with disabilities.

Connect and Walk Along

CBRs link people with essential services (health, education, jobs, social inclusion) and walk with parents throughout the journey of improving their children’s lives.
