On August 28th, 2025, the Baptist School of Public Health (BSPH) was honored to host a distinguished delegation from the University of Bamenda (UBa), led by Professor Victor Cho, Director of Academic Affairs, and Professor Wirba Ibrahim. This inspection visit marked a significant step toward establishing a strategic partnership focused on academic collaboration and mentorship. The visit comes just months after BSPH formalized a mentorship agreement with the University of Buea (UB), reflecting our ongoing commitment to building strong academic relationships across Cameroon.
As part of the visit, the UBa delegation engaged in extended meetings with BSPH faculty and board members to review institutional procedures, academic frameworks, and physical infrastructure. These sessions provided a platform for open dialogue, mutual understanding, and shared aspirations for academic excellence. The team’s presence and engagement demonstrated a genuine interest in BSPH’s mission and its evolving role in public health education.
Initial feedback from the delegation was promising, highlighting areas of strength and potential for deeper collaboration. Their insights affirmed BSPH’s readiness to expand its academic network and further diversify its programs through mentorship and joint initiatives. We are optimistic about the outcomes of this engagement and look forward to formalizing the partnership in the near future.
This visit from the University of Bamenda marks another meaningful chapter in BSPH’s journey toward academic excellence and national collaboration. As we continue to expand our reach and refine our programs, we remain deeply committed to nurturing future health professionals who are equipped not only with technical expertise but also with integrity, compassion, and a heart for service. With each new engagement, BSPH is shaping a legacy of innovation, resilience, and transformative impact in public health education.

With more partnerships on the horizon, BSPH is embracing a future defined by collaboration, growth, and purpose. We invite our stakeholders, students, and community members to stay engaged as we continue to build bridges across institutions and empower the next generation of healthcare leaders.
