Ministry of Higher Education Visits BSPH Mutengene

On April 15, 2026, the Baptist School of Public Health Mutengene, under the leadership of our Dean Dr. Nkuoh Godlove, proudly welcomed an official inspection mission. The delegation was led by Professor Sarah Anyang Agbor, Inspector of Services No. 2 and Head of Mission, and supervised by Professor Patrick Edgard Abane Engolo, Inspector General of Services.

Strengthening Higher Education Standards

This mission was authorized by the Minister of State, Minister of Higher Education, through Mission Order No. 26/02923 of April 06, 2026, and carried out in accordance with Law No. 2023/007 of July 25, 2023, on the Orientation of Higher Education in Cameroon.

The inspection was part of the General Inspectorate of Services’ Action Plan, focusing on the control and inspection of Private Higher Education Institutions (PHEIs). Five key pillars guided the evaluation:

  • Administrative governance
  • Financial, material, and infrastructural governance
  • Social governance
  • Digital governance
  • Specific institutional issues

How the Mission Was Conducted
The team began with an introductory meeting with our leadership, followed by a comprehensive tour of the campus. They visited classrooms, lecture halls, offices, libraries, staff rooms, catering points, sports facilities, and the surrounding environment.

Beyond observation, the inspectors engaged in **meaningful conversations with administrators, faculty, students, and support staff, ensuring that every voice was heard. The mission concluded with a formal debriefing session, where findings were shared and discussed openly.

A Successful and Encouraging Outcome
Overall, the visit was a resounding success. The feedback received was commendable and encouraging, reaffirming our commitment to excellence. We learn, we grow, and we remain faithful to our promise of offering nothing short of the best. Notes were taken on areas to improve, and we are excited to continue building on our strengths.

We were truly delighted to welcome the delegation, and their presence reminded us of the importance of accountability, transparency, and continuous improvement in higher education.
